Jorginho could still make a shock move across London this summer, with Arsenal maintaining their interest in the Chelsea midfielder.

The Brazilian has been linked with a David Luiz-esque move across the divide this summer, despite appearing to be a firm part of Frank Lampard's plans.

Jorginho has three goals and an assist in his first three Premier League games this term, scoring a double in a 4-0 demolition of Crystal Palace on Saturday.

However, Arsenal are still keen on securing the star's signature before the deadline on Monday, according to Sky Sports.

The Gunners look set to miss out on their top midfielde target Houssem Aouar with the Frenchman reportedly set to stay with Lyon for 2020-21.

Arsenal suffered badly from the financial hit football took amid the coronavirus pandemic but have so far managed to bag centre-back Gabriel for £23m.

'It is a crucial moment,' Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said on the final days before the window slams shut.
