Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of announcing a new ad professional contract for 16-year-old Marcelo Flores as he has been invited to train with the first team under manager Mikel Arteta.
Marcelo Flores’ father had to be approached by the press as this is the first time his son will be training with the first team and he made some revelations of things that are to come.
Ruben Flores, who is Marcelo’s father stated that his son is still under an academy contract with Arsenal but an agreement has been reached or a professional contract.
While explaining that the Marcelo Flores still has a contract with the Arsenal academy running for the next two years, it is already confirmed that the youngster will be under a five-year professional contract at the Emirates Stadium.
Ruben Flores, therefore, gave the hint that his son’s professional contract with Arsenal will be announced anytime as the Mexican wants to remain with Arsenal for many years.
However, nothing can be done as regards the signing of the contract proper because the player is yet to turn 17 but all arrangement has been made an agreement reached.
Ruben Flores is now hoping that his son will walk the path of Bukayo Saka who was recently with the youth team and now a major part of Mikel Arteta’s first team.
