(Grace and Busola finish eating in their room, not too long after, Grace broke the silence)

*GRACE*: Busola, thanks so much for the food🤗😄.

*BUSOLA*: It’s nothing dear, hope you enjoyed it?

*GRACE*: Yes of course! It’s very yummy😋, you are a great chef, keep it up.

*BUSOLA*: Thank you darling🤗.

*GRACE*: You are welcome☺️.

*BUSOLA*: Grace…I noticed something, and I would like to call your attention to it☺️.

*GRACE*: What’s that?

*BUSOLA*: Uhmmm… I observed you’re getting cold spiritually😌.

*GRACE*: In what way🤔?

*BUSOLA*: I noticed you no longer attend church programmes unlike before. It has been close to three months now, your spiritual lifestyle have been changing gradually, you do advise me to observe my quiet time every morning and night, but now, you hardly pray once in three days. You prefer to sleep or to visit bro Kunle than to have a communion with God. You no longer see mid-week programmes as something important. I’ve known you as a diligent worker in God’s vineyard, but these days you’ve chosen to attend Sunday services late without a genuine reason. Grace, what’s wrong🤔?

*GRACE*: Nothing is wrong, I just need some rest☺️.

*BUSOLA*: Some rest😟? Is it possible to get tired of God?

*GRACE*: I’m not tired of God, I just need some time with myself☺️.

*BUSOLA*: How come you’re not tired of visiting Kunle🙄?

*GRACE*: (laughs) Kunle is different now, he’s my heartthrob, I can’t do without him😍💕.

*BUSAYO*: So can you do without God🤔?

*GRACE* : No. I love God wholeheartedly.

*BUSOLA*: You can love him with your words, but Is your life a reflection of your love for Him🤔?

*GRACE* : Ah ah! Busola, when did you become a pastor🙄?

*BUSOLA*: This is not about being a pastor, it’s what I observed.

*GRACE*: Okay, thank you. I’ll work on what you’ve said😊.

*BUSOLA*: Alright dear, please do😄.

*GRACE*: (she stood up and re-adjust her dress) I’m going out dear, I won’t stay long😉.

*BUSOLA* : Where are you going to😮?

*GRACE*: Kunle’s place. I will be back soon ☺️.

*BUSOLA*: Okay, just take care of yourself🤗.

*GRACE*: Okay. (she left the room for Kunle’s place).

(at Kunle’s hostel)

*GRACE*: (knocks) Helloo bro Kunle, Grace is at the door.

*KUNLE*: Sister Grace of God (he opens the door and offered her a seat 💺).

*GRACE*: Thank you☺️. How was lecture today?

*KUNLE*: It was fine, what about yours😊?

*GRACE*: It was splendid too🤗.

*KUNLE*: Okay… are you planning to go to church from here☺️?

*GRACE*: Church?

*KUNLE*: Have you forgotten there is choir practice today🤔?

*GRACE*: I remember, but I’m a little bit tired right now 😴. I just decided to stroll down here.

*KUNLE*: Hope all is well🤔?

*GRACE*: Yes, all is well☺️.

*KUNLE*: But since you can stroll down to my hostel, I don’t see any stress in you attending choir practice today🤗.

*GRACE*: Sweetheart, I need a break, I can’t be working forever now😊.

*KUNLE*: Sister Grace… “a break from God is a visitation to devil”. Whenever you detach yourself from God, you give devil a place in your life😕.

*GRACE*: What do you mean? Are you actually saying I’m no longer spiritual😥?

*KUNLE* l: I didn’t say that. But there is a need to be more careful and watchful… by the way, did you observe your quiet time today🤔?

*GRACE*: Uhmm… I woke up late☹️.

*KUNLE*: That’s not an excuse. There’s a need for us to be more serious with God😒.

*GRACE*: It’s not my fault! You always call me late at night and then we talk for hours, how did you expect me to wake up early🙄? “Early to bed, early to rise” I’m just trying to express my love to you by giving you my time.

*KUNLE*: …but not at the expense of your love for God. My love in your heart shouldn’t replace God’s love in your heart🤔. God love us so much even from our mother’s womb, we shouldn’t take his love for granted, he’s our first love, we must not neglect our first love for anyone.

*GRACE*: I love God, and I never for once neglect him… besides, it was God that connected us together or was it not God that led you to me🤷?

*KUNLE*: It was God, but your love for me shouldn’t supersede your love for God😌. We should learn to appreciate God by living a life that give glory to his name. We shouldn’t be careless and loose our focus on God, God is the center of our love and also, there’s no time we spend in the presence of the Lord that is a waste… God is a rewarder of everyone that diligently seek him🤗.

*GRACE*: Uhmmm… I thought this relationship really needs my attention, I don’t know it’s a sin😥.

*KUNLE*: I didn’t say it’s a sin but the equation must be balanced.” You can be busy and guilty, if you’re not diligent in your busyness”💪🏻. There’s a need for retreat my dear. We have to go back to God and plead for mercy, in any way we’ve been neglecting him, he should forgive us and have mercy on us🙁.

*GRACE*: May God forgive our ignorance. I’m really disappointed in myself😞, I’ve been drunk with your love, forgetting my first love😟. He has been faithful to me yet I neglect him day by day😢, he never get tired of loving me, even in my unfaithfulness he’s still faithful😔. Lord, I’m sorry for not loving you the way I ought to🙏🏻, I promise to live a life that pleases you… I’m so sorry🙈.

*KUNLE*: May God have mercy on us all🙁.

*GRACE*: Amen.

*KUNLE*: Let us pray🙏🏻. ( he led the prayer and then Grace left his hostel).
