Arsenal closely monitoring 21-year-old technically gifted winger

The London giants and super-agent Pini Zahavi are reportedly in negotiations to bring Shakhtar Donetsk forward Manor Solomon to Arsenal. Israel international joined Shakhtar Donetsk 12-months ago after making a £6m switch from Maccabi Petah Tikva.

Since joining the Ukrainian giants, Manor has featured in 62 games and has been directly involved in 19 goals, in all tournaments. Solomon who primarily operates on the left flank but can also fill in on the right and through the middle has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for the Spanish manager.

It has been well documented how Arsenal are lacking some creativity in attack as they continue to struggle for goals. Mikel Arteta is reportedly looking to the Israeli winger as a cheaper option to provide some much needed attacking flair. The 21-year-old forward has instructed super-agent Zahavi to broker a move to Arsenal on his behalf.

Zahavi is a close friend of Kia Joorabchian, who has a long-standing working relationship with Gunners Edu which has included negotiating the signings of Willian and David Luiz. A source close to the winger has confirmed that the attacker would like to join Gunners but a proposed move still has some way to go before being completed.

There does appear to be some confidence in Arsenal that Shakhtar will lower their demands to get the deal done, but it stays to be seen if that is wishful thinking from Mikel Arteta and Edu, or they will actually be able to land the Israeli for less than was originally quoted.
