DONE DEAL: Midfield Maestro sign off from Arsenal

Mesut Ozil is on the brink of leaving Arsenal - with signs being it could be hours away.

The Mirror says speculation has been building over the last few days that the German midfielder will finally depart and end his exile in North London.

Turkish side Fenerbahce are reportedly closing in on the 32-year-old, with claims that Ozil and Arsenal have agreed to mutually terminate his contract early.

And Ozil took to social media on Saturday evening to all but confirm them as his next club.

Fenerbahce cryptically tweeted: "Come let us be night with day..."

And Ozil attached the post in a tweet of his own along with two yellow and blue hearts, seemingly representing Fenerbahce's colours, along with a timer emoji.

He is expected to fly to Turkey on either Sunday or Monday, and according to DHA he will travel on Fenerbahce president Ali KoƧ's private plane.

Ozil is likely to sign a three-year deal with the Super Lig team, and will be welcomed as a marquee signing
