Arsenal in transfer discussions for Scottish defensive talent Copy

Arsenal have allegedly been in talks with Fulham defender Ibane Bowat, according to an exclusive report from TEAMtalk.

However, Mikel Arteta’s side aren’t believed to be the only Premier League club in the running – Brighton & Hove Albion, West Ham United and Everton are also said to be in pursuit of the youngster.

He has been a mainstay for Fulham’s U18 side over the last two seasons and helped the Cottagers win the Premier League South title last campaign.

The 6ft 2in defensive talent penned a two-year scholarship at Fulham in the summer of 2019 and has recently been promoted into their U23 squad.

TEAMtalk states that the West Londoners are eager to retain the services of the Scotland youth international, and have offered the in-demand player a professional contract to sign in June.

Bowat’s current deal expires in the summer, and negotiations between the prodigy’s camp and the aforementioned Premier League sides have allegedly been ongoing for the past few weeks.

He has made 12 Under-18 appearances this season and has been called up to his country’s U19s, though he is still eligible to play for France and England.

Ibane is a very talented prospect, a left-footed defender who is predominantly a centre-half but can also play as a left-back.

There are plenty of great players currently in the ranks at the Emirates Stadium outfit and Bowat certainly looks like a great potential addition, though competition for his signature will be stern.
