Arsenal leader refuses to rule out Ligue 1 switch in future

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has opened the door to a future switch to Paris Saint-Germain but says he has ‘a lot of work to do’ at the Emirates.

The Spanish tactician took over from Unai Emery at Arsenal in December 2019 and went on to win the FA Cup in his first ever campaign as a manager.

The club’s league form, however, has been patchy under the 38-year-old manager and his side are currently in ninth place in the standings after losing 11 of their 29 Premier League matches so far this season.

As a player, Mikel spent a season on loan at the Parisians from Barcelona and refused to rule out the possibility of managing the French champions one day.

‘I love Paris, I love Paris. I have very good memories from over there. It was my first club as a professional. The club is always in my heart. ‘You never know but I have a lot of work to do [here at Arsenal].’ Mikel told BeIN Sports FR.

‘PSG have an incredible team. The manager Mauricio Pochettino is a coach that I am close to because I played with him at PSG. He is a very very strong manager and I hope that he will win a lot of titles with PSG.’ he added.
