Arsenal renewed interest in€50m-rated Morocco international

Achraf Hakimi is happy to remain at Inter Milan and has no current plans to leave the club. That’s according to the 22-year-old right-back’s agent, who says he wants to win the Scudetto with the club and believes in their project.

Achraf joined the Nerazzurri from Real Madrid last summer but there’s already speculation that Zizou’s side want to re-sign the full-back, with the Serie A giants said to be struggling to keep up the payments on his transfer.

Arsenal have been linked with Hakimi, as there’s doubts over Hector Bellerin’s long-term future at the club given interest from PSG. But Morocco international’s agent has downplayed suggestions he’s thinking about an imminent departure from the Italian club.

‘The player himself made the decision to go to Inter,’ Alejandro Camano said. Already two or three years ago, Piero Ausilio had spoken to us about the chance of bringing him to Inter Milan. ‘After his spell at Borussia Dortmund, that interest was renewed and Hakimi decided to come to Inter.’

‘As of today, he is very happy to play for such an important club. I don’t know what the future holds, but I say today that Hakimi is happy and his team is Inter. The objective is to win the Scudetto. After that, Inter’s situation at the club level is complicated, but I repeat: we are very happy here in football terms.’

‘He has a five-year contract, we signed because we were so confident of Inter’s project. We’ll see what happens in the future, but this is a very important step in his career. We certainly don’t intend on leaving the team in such a delicate situation.’
