Arsenal set to make approach for in-form Croatian forward

Tottenham supporters will have been sick of the sight of attacker Mislav Orsic but according to reports, they could be seeing the Croatia international more regularly next campaign.

The Times newspaper state that Arsenal are monitoring the progress of the Dinamo Zagreb star as they look to bolster their squad next season.

He demonstrated his qualities in devastating fashion earlier in March with a hat-trick as his side overturned a 2-0 first-leg deficit to dump Spurs out of the UEFA Europa League last-16 stages 3-2 on aggregate.

The 28-year-old forward is currently contracted to the Croatian outfit until 2025 and has scored 53 goals in 123 matches since joining them in 2018.

Orsic has won six caps for his country’s national team and has had spells in China, Slovenia, South Korea and Italy.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is looking for attacking reinforcements following what has been a turbulent campaign in north London, with the north Londoners languishing in ninth place in the Premier League.

Their attack has yet to fire like it usually does, and certain stars have struggled to stake a claim in the starting XI.

Willian has failed to live up to expectations since his move from Chelsea while club-record £72 million signing Nicolas Pepe still has not justified his price-tag.
