After battling their way through their respective Round-of-32 clashes, Arsenal and Manchester United have successfully come through their second knockout stage matches of the competition.
Arsenal got the better of Greek giants Olympiacos, winning 3-2 on aggregate over the course of the two legs, winning 3-1 in Athens in the first-leg last week before being beaten 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium last night.
United, meanwhile, got the better of Italian outfit AC Milan, winning the tie 2-1 on aggregate. After the first-leg ended 1-1 at Old Trafford last week, the Red Devils got the job done at the San Siro on Thursday evening, winning 1-0 thanks to a second half goal from Paul Pogba.
Tottenham Hotspur, however, were not so fortunate, crashing out of the competition in remarkable circumstances. After beating Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 in the first-leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week, Jose Mourinho’s men collapsed last night, losing 3-0 to bow out of the competition 3-2 on aggregate.
Arsenal and United will be joined in the draw by six other big-name clubs, including Ajax and Roma.
Just like the draw for the last-16, the quarter-finals can see anyone pitted up against anyone, meaning Arsenal could face Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United. As well as the draw for the quarter-finals taking place, the semi-final draw will be conducted afterwards.
The four quarter-final ties will be assigned a number from one to four and then those ties will be drawn to determine the two semi-finals.
The draw is set to get underway at 12pm UK time and you can follow it all as it happens on our live blog below.
