ONGOING: Arsenal renew pursuit of €50m Barcelona attacking midfielder

Barcelona outcast Philippe Coutinho could be on the transfer away from the club this summer with a return to England on the cards.

The Brazilian star has struggled to force his way back into Ronald Koeman‘s plans this campaign following his return from a loan stint at Bayern Munich in 2019/20.

According to a recent report from the Daily Express, Mikel Arteta‘s side could revive their interest in the ex-Liverpool man, after allegedly failing to sign him in 2020.

However, the report adds that any move for Coutinho depends on the Spaniard’s ability to retain on loan attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid.

The Norway captain has impressed after signing for the Gunners on a six-month loan deal in January, and Mikel will look to test Los Blancos resolve on the 22-year old ace.

Martin also represents a cheaper option for Gunners boss, with Real Madrid valuing him at around €30 million, whilst Philippe would still cost in excess of €50 million, despite Barcelona’s willingness to sell.

In other news, Arsenal are among a host of top Premier League sides with an interest in Red Bull Salzburg forward Patson Daka ahead of this summer with the Austrian club are willing to sell their player for the right price, according to the latest reports.
